Praise the Lord for Spring!

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad, let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy; they will sing before the Lord.
- Psalm 96:11-13
Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights above. Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts. Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars. Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created. He set them in place for ever and ever; he gave a decree that will never pass away. - Psalm 148:1-6
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. - Isaiah 55:12

Little Leebo is on the move. He is go, go, go full speed ahead! I think he is kind of addicted to walking. He loves it! He carries things around laughing, drooling, making all sorts of funny noises.
Go Lee Go!
He will slow down for a few things. One of those is Wheel of Fortune. We need to take a picture of that. Another is to eat.
The boy likes ketchup!
And also to sleep. Is there anything sweeter? Maybe when they are asleep on you.
And, last but not least...my latest discovery is an apple core. You seriously need to try this when you are making dinner or trying to get something done. Lee chewed on this apple core for an hour. I am not kidding - a whole hour!!! Try it!

Lately Lee...

Walks! Sort of -- he can take maybe 10 steps by himself and then goes down. It is so fun to watch and he does it more and more everyday. I think he will get it in no time.

Says little things like "da" for dog, "ba" for ball, "buh, buh, buh" for balloon, and "da da da" for daddy.

Has no fear! Falling off of playsets and couches does not cross his mind. He is keeping me on my toes!

Loves to be outside and so do I - lots of fun.

Crawls around and shakes his head. I love this -- he looks like a little puppy dog.

Still sucks two fingers especially when he's about to go to sleep. Every night we sing a little medley of songs and he sucks those fingers and hums along. Nothing sweeter.

More teeth! He's got one on the bottom and one on the top with one on each side of those about to push through. Ouch!

Dances. He especially loves when we say, "Throw your hands in the hair, throw you hands in the air and shake that head!" He's got that move down : )

This week Natalie, Emma Raines & Tucker have been in town. It has been really fun and I can't wait until they move to Birmingham in just a few months. YAY! I hope that Lee is best friends with all of his cousins and that they get into lots of good trouble together!

Healthy Pancakes

Now, I am not saying this is the best pancake I have ever eaten, but if you are looking for a new healthy breakfast idea these are pretty good. I always feel guilty when I eat pancakes because I know you are supposed to pair carbs with protein. This recipe came from my bootcamp instructor and does the trick.
Protein Pancakes
Ingredients:
1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1 cup plain uncooked oatmeal
6 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Pour all ingredients into a blender and blend until mixed well. Heat skillet and pour batter. Cook pancakes on both sides. These are super easy to make. I liked them and so did Lee!

Easter is almost here - my very favorite day of the year! I love my Easter egg tree - it reminds me all month long of Jesus living here on this earth and dying on the cross for my sins so that I can live an abundant and eternal life. Thank you Lord!

I also love Easter for the bunnies, Easter baskets & egg hunts, malted robins eggs & butterfinger eggs (have you tried these? not fair how good they are!), daffodils, little Easter outfits and the return of sandals.

Spring is on its way!
